About this piece
From the audience side, the lectern shows a tall panel of frosted white acrylic with an arched top edge. A clear pocket on it holds a printed sheet with a club logo, and a small notch at the top of the pocket helps when the sheet needs changing. The side in the photo is clear acrylic with a shaped outline and four round cut-outs in a column, and the top is clear as well, so only the front reads as solid.
Conference rooms, school halls, hotel function rooms and club evenings all need a lectern that several speakers can share. The frosted front gives the logo a plain white background, while the clear sides keep the lectern from looking heavy in a small room. With the logo in a pocket, the same lectern can carry a different sheet for each event or guest organisation.
Lecterns like this are laser-cut from frosted and clear acrylic to a drawing of your own, and the panels are joined with screws, as the photo shows along the side edges. You choose the height, the size and angle of the top, and the outline of the sides with their cut-outs, and the front can carry a pocket or a logo printed or engraved straight onto it. For a series, one lectern comes first, and the rest follow once it is approved.

Questions
Can it have a shelf inside for water and papers?
Yes. A shelf can sit inside, behind the front panel, at a height the speaker can reach without stepping back. It is part of the drawing, so you see where it goes in the 3D view before anything is cut.
Can you make it in wood or with a steel frame?
Yes. The same workshop builds in wood and steel as well as acrylic, so a lectern can be made in oak, ash or birch, or as acrylic panels on a welded steel frame where a room calls for it.
