About this piece

Battlements are cut into the top edge of the clear back panel and continue across the tops of the front columns. The columns are covered in dark brick-wall artwork with weathered numbers running from one at the bottom to seven at the top, and the right-hand column wraps round to a printed side. Clear shelves sit inside at several levels, and two loose ones lie in front, showing the stepped tabs at their ends.

A numbered tower gives a game or an event a way to show progress at a glance: points scored, rounds played, levels reached or prizes set out shelf by shelf. The clear acrylic keeps whatever sits on the shelves visible from the front, while the printed columns give the piece its theme and keep the numbers readable from a distance.

All the panels and shelves are laser-cut from one drawing, so every tab fits the part it meets. The number of levels, the spacing, the height and the column artwork can all change, and the castle outline can become any shape your theme calls for. For a series, one tower is made first so you can test it with the pieces it will hold.

Questions

Can the tower have more or fewer levels?

Yes. The number of levels, the spacing between the shelves and the numbers or words on the columns are set in the drawing. The shelves are separate parts, so a tower can be made taller, shorter or wider.

Can the columns carry our own artwork?

Yes. The brick wall and weathered numbers here are one theme; the columns can carry any artwork, colours, numbers or names. You see the tower in 3D with your artwork on a private page before anything is cut.
