Curved clear acrylic book stand

A slim stand in thin clear acrylic, cut with flowing curves and shaped so a small curled lip holds a book upright. It is for bookshops, libraries, museum shops and receptions that show a book or a catalogue face out.

About this piece

Thin clear acrylic, cut to a flowing outline, is bent here into a back that leans gently and a foot that rests on the table. The back has an S-shaped side edge, the foot has a wavy one, and a small curled lip holds the bottom edge of the book. In the photo it carries a dark blue hardback, and the thin acrylic is barely visible against the cover.

In a bookshop or a museum shop, a stand like this lets one title face the customer instead of showing only its spine. It works just as well for a guest book at a hotel reception, a company catalogue on a fair stand or a new release in a shop window. Because the acrylic is thin and clear, people see the cover first, and the curves keep the stand from looking like office equipment.

The size of a stand like this follows the books or catalogues it will hold, from slim brochures to heavy hardbacks, and so do the angle of the back and the height of the lip. The outline is laser-cut, so it can follow a shape of your own, and the foot can carry an engraved name or logo. We make a single stand or a full set for a shop or a library.

Questions

Will it hold a heavy hardback or a large catalogue?

It will if it is made for one. A heavier book needs thicker acrylic and a deeper foot, so tell us the size and weight of the books you plan to show, and we draw the stand around them.

Can you make a set in different sizes?

Yes. One design can be drawn in several sizes, for example a small stand for paperbacks and a larger one for catalogues, so a shelf or a window display looks consistent. Each size is checked in 3D on your private page before cutting.
