About this piece
Clear acrylic sheets stand face to face to make this award. Each sheet behind the front one is cut a little taller, so the edges climb in steps on the left and rise to a sharp point at the top right. The inner corners are rounded, and every cut edge catches the light. The front sheet carries the award title in two languages, printed in black between thin bars of black, red and yellow, and below it the award category and the year 2018 are engraved as frosted lettering.
Clear acrylic is a good fit for a business award: it looks formal on a stage and leaves room for the organiser's own colours and logo. Layering turns flat sheets into a solid-looking object with depth, and the stepped outline catches the light at each layer.
In our Riga workshop, acrylic sheets like these are laser-cut and engraved. The outline, the number of sheets, the colours, the printed text and the engraving can all change, and each category or winner can have their own version of the same design. You see the award in 3D on a private page before production, and the quote is agreed first.

Questions
Can each category get its own award in the same design?
Yes. Category awards are made as one series: the same layered outline, with the category, the winner's name or the year changed on each piece. One award on its own is fine too, as there is no minimum order.
Should our logo be printed or engraved?
Both work on clear acrylic. Printing gives full colour, like the title on this award, and engraving gives a frosted, one-tone mark, like the year. This award uses both, and the 3D drawing shows how they sit together before production.
