About this piece
Six arms spread from the centre of the snowflake, each with two short side branches and a rounded tip, all cut through in one piece of plywood. The face is left plain, showing the light wood, while the cut edges are darker and show the layers of the plywood. A pale satin ribbon is threaded through a small hole in one arm, so the ornament is ready to hang.
As a Christmas gift for staff, customers or pupils, a wooden ornament is light and lasting, and it works in shop windows, offices and on event tables as well as on a tree. The flat shape fits into an envelope or a gift box, and a name or a year on the face turns it into a keepsake rather than a decoration.
Laser cutting from a drawing gives every ornament in a series the same outline, and any engraving is added in the same workshop. The shape can change to a star, a tree, a bauble or your own outline, and the plywood can be thicker, thinner or swapped for solid wood. Can a name or logo be engraved on the snowflake?
Yes. A name, a year or a small logo can be engraved on the face, sized to sit within the centre and the arms. You check the layout in a drawing before any cutting starts.
Do you make ornaments for a company order?
Yes. Ornaments for staff, customers or guests are made as a series from one approved sample, with the same outline and engraving on every piece. A different name on each ornament is also possible.
