Acrylic display case for one bottle

AI concept for an acrylic display case for one bottle: a clear cover sitting in a groove on a solid oak base, with a blank brass plate at the front. For limited editions, award-winning bottles, anniversaries and back-bar displays; our workshop in Riga makes it to order around your own bottle.

The idea images on this page are AI concepts — design ideas, not photos of finished work; final construction and scope are agreed for your project. The photo marked “Real work” is from our workshop.

Decisions to make

Cover size and fit

The cover is sized to your bottle with even space all round, so the bottle looks neither crammed nor lost. It sits in a groove in the base, which keeps dust out and stops the cover sliding. We check the fit with your own bottle on the prototype.

Base wood and plate text

The base sets the tone: oak as shown, walnut for a darker look, or painted. Decide what the plate says, such as the edition, the year or the award, and keep it short, so the letters stay large enough to read through a shop window or across a bar.

Dust-free display and access

Decide whether the bottle comes out now and then, as a back-bar showpiece poured on occasion, or stays put. A lift-off cover suits occasional access; a cover fixed to the base suits a bottle that is only for show.

Materials and options

Materials and finishes

  • Clear acrylic cover (as in the concept)Clear panels joined into a cover that lifts off the base when you take the bottle out.
  • Solid oak base (as in the concept)With a groove cut for the cover to sit in, and room at the front for a plate.
  • Other woods or a painted baseWalnut for a dark spirit, ash or maple for a pale one, black alder for a warm brown, or a base painted black.
  • Brass plateBlank in the concept; it can carry your text engraved, or the text can go straight into the wood.

Personalisation

Your logo engraved on the front of the base or on the brass plate, with the edition, year or award beside it. A mark engraved on the cover itself reads frosted against the bottle. Position is agreed on the drawing.

From request to production

  1. Your briefTell us how you will use it, how many you need and whether you want a logo.
  2. Drawing and 3D reviewReview the design from each side on a private page.
  3. Quote and approvalPrice and scope agreed before anything is made.
  4. Prototype or productionFor a series, one prototype first; a single piece is made once approved.

The drawing shows your bottle inside the cover, the space around it and the plate text at full size. For a series, the prototype is made around your bottle and checked with you before the rest are made.

Questions

Can the case fit a magnum or an unusual bottle?

Yes. The case is drawn around your own bottle, so a magnum, a squat spirits bottle or a decanter gets its own size. Send a sample or the exact height, diameter and shape.

Can the case hold a bottle with its glasses?

It can be drawn wider for a bottle and two glasses, or for the bottle beside its gift tube. The cover and base grow with it, and we show the layout on the drawing before anything is cut.

Is the acrylic case sealed?

The cover sits in a groove in the base, which keeps dust off the bottle, but it is not airtight. It lifts off to take the bottle out, or can be fixed to the base; we agree which before it is made.
