AI concept · made to order in Riga
Wooden chocolate box with divider
AI concept for a wooden chocolate box with a sliding lid and a divider grid, for chocolatiers, gift buyers and private customers. Our workshop in Riga builds it to order in oak or another wood, with the divider sized around your wrapped chocolates or chosen inner packaging, and your logo engraved.
The idea images on this page are AI concepts — design ideas, not photos of finished work; final construction and scope are agreed for your project. The photo marked “Real work” is from our workshop.

Real work from our workshop
Our tree-of-life oak chest, built by hand in our workshop in Riga: dovetailed corners, a fitted lid and hand-finished insides — the same joinery and fitting work a presentation box needs.
Decisions to make
Grid layout and depth
The concept shows a four-by-four grid. We size each cell from your largest wrapped chocolate or inner cup, and set the depth so the lid clears the tallest piece. Three-by-three and two-by-six work too, or one long cell for a wrapped bar beside the smaller pieces.
Where the sliding lid stops
The lid can slide fully off, so the open box works as a sample on the counter, or stop partway and stay with the box. You also choose which end it opens from, so your logo reads the right way up when the box is offered open.
A box that is kept afterwards
A fixed divider stays square and suits refill selections for the same box. A lift-out divider leaves an empty box for jewellery or cards, and needs a finger hole in one cell or another way to grip it; we settle that on the drawing.

Suggested uses
A chocolatier's signature selection
A sixteen-piece selection your customers keep after the last chocolate. We size the grid around your wrapped chocolates or inner tray, and engrave your logo on the lid.
Paired tastings, one cell per pour
A winery, distillery or tea house running a paired tasting matches each cell to one pour. A two-by-six layout gives two guests six chocolates each, so the box sets the order of the tasting.
A keepsake for a private occasion
One box for a wedding or anniversary, with names or a date on the lid. With a lift-out divider, the empty box then keeps jewellery, cufflinks or folded notes.
Hotel and client gifts
A hotel or company gives a branded box of wrapped chocolates to guests or clients, and the box stays on a desk afterwards for pens, cards or keys.
Materials and options
Materials and finishes
- Oak (as in the concept)Hard-wearing with a calm grain; it holds crisp divider slots and a clean engraved lid.
- WalnutDark and warm, the most formal look, with a quiet contrast for gold or pale wrappers.
- AshPaler than oak and strong in thin divider strips, so dark wrappers and packaging stand out against it.
- Other speciesMaple and birch are also available, pale and close-grained for thin divider slots; black alder is warmer. A painted lid is possible. Resinous pine carries a scent we discuss first.
Personalisation
The sliding lid is the natural place for your logo engraved, centred or set in one corner clear of the pull. The concept shows a plain lid, so placement is open; a date or short line can go on the underside of the lid.

- Prototype or productionFor a series, one prototype first; a single piece is made once approved.
The drawing shows the grid, the cell depth and the lid travel around your packaging sizes. On the prototype you fill the cells with your own wrapped chocolates or inner packaging, and check the fit and the lid before the series.

Questions
Can the divider be sized to our chocolates?
Yes. Send the width, length and height of your largest wrapped chocolate or inner cup, the number per box and the layout, and we size the cells around that packaging. We make the box; the chocolates come from you or your chocolatier.
What finish goes on a wooden chocolate box?
The concept shows natural oiled-looking oak. We agree the finish with you, and the divider is sized around your wrapped chocolates or the inner packaging you choose, such as cups or a tray. You try the box with your own packaged chocolates on the prototype.
Can one box hold chocolates and a bar together?
Yes. The grid does not have to be uniform: one long cell can take a wrapped bar beside the smaller cells. Send the bar's width, length and thickness with your other sizes; we set the depth for the tallest piece and show the layout on the drawing.
