Wooden carrier for two olive oil bottles

AI concept for a small oak carrier for two tall bottles of olive oil or vinegar, with a centre divider, a top handle and a blank brass name plate. For farms, producers and shops that sell or give a pair; our workshop in Riga builds it to order around your bottles.

The idea images on this page are AI concepts — design ideas, not photos of finished work; final construction and scope are agreed for your project. The photo marked “Real work” is from our workshop.

Decisions to make

Bottle fit and stability

Tall bottles tip easily, so each compartment is sized to your bottle, not a standard one. We agree how high the front panel rises (the concept shows a low front, so the bottles stay on show) and whether the base gets a shallow recess to seat each bottle. Square bottles get square compartments.

Lift-out clearance under the handle

In the concept the handle runs just above the bottle caps, so a bottle has to tilt to come out. We set the gap from your bottle's height and shoulder, or raise the handle, and show the clearance on the drawing.

Handle strength and oil drips

Two full bottles are heavier than they look, so we agree the handle and divider thickness and how the handle joins the end walls; the load is confirmed on the prototype. Oily fingers mark bare oak, so we agree the finish with you.

Suggested uses

Oil and vinegar pairs

A producer selling an olive oil with a vinegar, or two oils from one harvest, presents them as a pair. The divider keeps the bottles apart; the plate carries the farm name.

Farm shop and market counters

A farm shop or market stall stands filled carriers on the counter as ready-made gifts; the customer lifts one by the handle and takes the pair home.

Craft beer and juice gift sets

A brewery or juice press packing two bottles as a gift uses the same layout, with the compartments sized to its own bottle, tall and slim or shorter and wider.

On the dining table

A restaurant, guesthouse or household keeps oil and vinegar together on the table, passed by the handle rather than as two loose bottles. The plate can carry the place's name.

Materials and options

Materials and finishes

  • Oak (as in the concept)Dense enough for a slim handle and divider, with a warm grain behind the brass plate; heavier than ash.
  • AshPale and tough, with a springy strength that suits a handle. Its light colour gives an engraved mark good contrast.
  • WalnutDark and fine-grained, a match for a dark oil or balsamic; it suits a gift edition more than a large series.
  • Other speciesMaple is also available and dense enough for a slim handle; birch and black alder are softer, so the handle and divider get thicker. Painted finishes are possible.

Personalisation

The concept shows a blank brass plate on the front for a farm or producer name; a different name on each piece can be agreed. For one fixed mark, the plate comes off and your logo is engraved into the wood.

From request to production

  1. Your briefTell us how you will use it, how many you need and whether you want a logo.
  2. Drawing and 3D reviewReview the design from each side on a private page.
  3. Quote and approvalPrice and scope agreed before anything is made.
  4. Prototype or productionFor a series, one prototype first; a single piece is made once approved.

The drawing sets the compartments, the front panel height and the gap under the handle from your bottle. The prototype is filled with your bottles, to check how they seat, how they lift out and how the handle feels when carried.

What to send us for a quote

  • Your bottle, or its height, width or diameter, and its shape
  • What goes in the bottles, so we agree the finish
  • Wood: oak as shown, ash, walnut or another species
  • The name or logo for the plate or engraving, ideally as a vector file
  • Whether you want the brass plate, or your logo engraved in the wood
  • How many carriers you need

Questions

Will two tall bottles stand in the carrier without tipping?

That depends on sizing it to your actual bottle: front and back panels high enough to support it, a centre divider that keeps the two apart and, if needed, a shallow recess in the base. Fit and handle are checked on the prototype.

Can I order a single carrier as a gift?

Yes. For a private gift, the brass plate can carry a name or a date, and the carrier is made to the size of the two bottles you choose; a short message can go on the plate instead of a name.

Does the same carrier work for craft beer or juice?

Yes. Two bottles side by side, with a divider and a top handle, suits oil, vinegar, craft beer or juice; we size the compartments, the handle and the finish for what goes inside, and check them on the prototype.
