About this piece
Two plates lie side by side on the workbench, numbered 408 and 406. The face is a brushed copper-tone, and each number runs down the plate one digit under another in a stencil style, cut into the face so it shows dark. Near the top there is a small cut mark above a short line, and near the foot a row of tactile dots.
Copper-tone brings warmth next to timber doors, dark walls or warm lighting, and the stencil numerals keep the look plain and technical. A tall plate fits the narrow wall beside a door, and with tactile dots in the layout the plate carries something to find by touch as well as something to read by eye.
Plates like these are drawn from your room list, with the numbers, the dots and any symbol laid out together, and you check them in 3D on a private page. The plates are made in our workshop; for a whole floor we agree the quote, make one prototype and then the rest. Your version can use another finish, such as gold-tone or a painted colour from our own spray room, another typeface, a room name or a different size. There is no minimum order, so a single replacement plate is fine too.

Questions
Can tactile dots be added to our own sign design?
Yes. Tell us what the dots should carry and where they should sit, and we add them to the layout of your plates. You check the position of the dots, the numbers and any symbol on the 3D design before production.
Can the plates have a finish other than copper-tone?
Yes. Copper-tone is one option; gold-tone, silver-tone and painted colours from our own spray room are others. For a building, the prototype is made in the finish you pick, so you see it in your own light before the series.
