About this piece
Room 236 is set in raised white numerals on a bright red square, with a row of raised white dots below the number. Beside it, a long black panel holds a sliding indicator: a black slide runs in a recessed window and covers or uncovers white lettering at one end. The red square and the black panel sit end to end as one sign.
A slider lets the people inside a room tell those outside whether to knock, without a screen or a paper note on the door. It suits meeting rooms, treatment rooms, offices and hotel rooms, where the message changes during the day. The red number panel also makes the room easy to pick out in a corridor of similar doors.
The number panel, the slider and the wording are drawn together from your room list and appear in 3D on a private page for your approval. Both parts are made in our workshop, in colours that can follow your interior. You set the room numbers, the wording behind the slide, the colours and the size, and the number panel can also be made on its own without the slider. A single sign is fine; for a whole floor, the quote is agreed and one prototype is made before the rest.

Questions
What can the slider show?
Any short message you choose, such as free and occupied, in a meeting or do not disturb, in one or two languages. The wording sits behind the slide window, and you check the text and its position on the 3D design before production.
Can the number panel be in our own colour?
Yes. The red here is one choice; the panel, the numerals and the dots can each take a colour that suits your interior or your brand. Send a colour code or a sample, and you approve the colours on the prototype before the series.
