About this piece
Four pan-head screws hold this plate for room 151, one in each corner. Each numeral is a separate piece with a rounded, domed top and a glossy cream finish, and it rises through its own window cut in the matt dark face. Under that face, a clear layer shows along the edge of the plate. The photo shows it on a cutting mat.
Domed numerals suit corridors lit from above. Their rounded tops catch the light, so the number shows from along the corridor as well as from in front of the door, and the raised shape gives it a depth that a flat number lacks. A flat plate screwed close to the door, or to the wall beside it, keeps the corridor tidy.
Pieces like this start with a drawing made from your room list, the typeface and the size of the plate. You check the design in 3D on a private page before anything is made, and the quote is agreed before production. On plates like this the face and the windows are laser-cut, and the colours for plate and numerals come from our own spray room, so the numerals can pick up a carpet, a door or a brand colour. A whole floor is a series, so one prototype comes first; a single replacement plate is just as welcome, since there is no minimum order.

Questions
Can the numerals be a different colour from the plate?
Yes. The plate and the numerals are separate parts, so any pairing works, for example dark numerals on a light plate or a colour taken from your carpet. Colours are sprayed in our own spray room, and you see the pairing in 3D before we start.
Can you number every room in our building?
Yes. Send the room list and we draw every plate from it. One prototype is made first so you can check the size, the colours and the fixing on a real door; the rest of the series then follows the approved sample.
