Laser-cut steel logo sign

AI concept for a laser-cut steel logo sign: a flat black painted panel with an abstract vine leaf cut out of it, held off a brick wall on standoffs so the shape casts a shadow. For tasting rooms, shops and offices; our workshop in Riga cuts it from your logo file, for indoor walls.

The idea images on this page are AI concepts — design ideas, not photos of finished work; final construction and scope are agreed for your project. The photo marked “Real work” is from our workshop.

Included:
The steel sign cut from your logo file, painted, with standoffs
Optional:
A wooden backing board, coloured acrylic behind the cut-out, more sizes

Real work from our workshop

Real signs from our workshop: raised letters on panels, illuminated logos, facade letters and names cut out of metal, each made to the client's artwork and size.

Decisions to make

From logo file to cut line

Every line in your logo becomes a cut in steel. Very thin lines and small enclosed shapes, such as the centre of a letter O, need a small bridge to stay attached, or must be thickened. We check your vector file and show any changes on the drawing before cutting.

Size, standoffs and shadow

Standoffs hold the sign off the wall, so the cut-out casts a shadow that changes with the light. A deeper gap gives a bigger, softer shadow. Size and gap are set for the wall and how far away people read it; fixing to your wall is confirmed per project.

Indoor use and the paint

We offer this sign for indoor walls; outdoor use is not promised and is discussed per project. Colour and sheen are agreed on a painted sample, and the steel wipes clean with a soft, damp cloth.

Suggested uses

Tasting-room and shop entrances

Just inside the door or above the counter, it is the first thing a visitor sees. The cut-out lets the brick or plaster behind show through as part of the mark.

Reception walls and offices

A company mark behind a reception desk, where cut steel reads as part of the room rather than a printed board.

Several sites, one mark

A producer with a cellar door, a shop and an office uses one cut file for every sign, scaled to each wall, so the mark looks the same everywhere.

Smaller signs for rooms

Small signs for a cellar, a tasting room or a shop section, cut from the same steel and painted to match the main one.

Materials and options

Materials and finishes

  • Black painted steel (as in the concept)Flat sheet steel, cut in our workshop and painted. Black reads strongly on red brick or pale plaster.
  • Steel painted in your colourA brand colour, white for a dark wall or a deep green; we agree it from a painted sample beside your logo.
  • Coloured acrylic behind the cut-outClear or coloured acrylic set behind the cut shape fills it with colour; the acrylic is cut on the same floor as the steel.
  • Wooden backing boardOak, ash or black alder behind the steel frames the sign and gives the cut-out a warm colour of its own.

Personalisation

The sign is your logo, cut whole from one sheet. A name or short line can sit below the mark as part of the same cut, or the mark can stand alone, as in the concept. Size, standoff depth and position on the wall are agreed on the drawing.

From request to production

  1. Your briefTell us how you will use it, how many you need and whether you want a logo.
  2. Drawing and 3D reviewReview the design from each side on a private page.
  3. Quote and approvalPrice and scope agreed before anything is made.
  4. Prototype or productionFor a series, one prototype first; a single piece is made once approved.

We check your logo file for thin lines and small details, then draw the sign at full size on a photo of your wall. The finest part of the mark can be test-cut on an offcut first.

What to send us for a quote

  • Your logo as a vector file: SVG, PDF, EPS or DXF
  • The wall: brick, concrete, plaster or timber, with a photo
  • The width you want, and how far away people will read it
  • Colour: black as shown or your own, and any acrylic or wood behind
  • How many signs, and which walls they go on

Questions

Can you cut any logo from steel?

Most logos, yes, but thin lines and small enclosed shapes need care: a closed letter such as an O loses its centre unless a small bridge holds it. We check your vector file and show what changes on the drawing before anything is cut.

Can the sign include lettering, not only a symbol?

Yes. Letters are cut the same way as the mark, so they need to be bold and large enough for their centres to stay attached. The concept shows a symbol only; we draw your text with it at full size so you see how it reads.

Can a laser-cut steel sign go on an outside wall?

We offer this sign for indoor walls and do not promise it outdoors. Tell us where the sign would hang in your brief, and we discuss per project what would be needed.
