About this piece
Each die is a cube of pale, fine-grained wood with softly rounded corners and edges. Each visible face carries a single word in plain capital letters, and the engraving leaves the letters a warm brown against the light wood. The words are everyday Latvian nouns.
Players roll a word instead of a number, which suits storytelling and vocabulary games, language lessons and team events as well as boxed games sold in shops. A teacher can build a set around one topic, such as food or travel, so that every roll starts a new sentence. The words are engraved into the wood rather than printed on it.
Engraving starts from your word list, so every die in a set can carry its own words, letters, numbers or small symbols. The size of the dice, the wood, the typeface and the number of dice per set can all change. Game sets are usually made as a series: one prototype set comes first, and once you have rolled and checked it, the rest follow.

Questions
Can each die in a set carry different words?
Yes. Every face of every die can have its own word, so a set can mix themes such as food, places and people. Send the word list die by die, and you will see the layout before anything is engraved.
Can you engrave words in languages other than Latvian?
Yes. We engrave from your text file, so English, Latvian with all its accented letters, or another language in the Latin alphabet is laid out the same way. You check the spelling on the layout before production starts.
