About this piece
The board is a flat disc with an oak-grain face. A pattern of round cups is set into its centre, and a wide groove runs all the way around them, holding the balls that are not in a cup. The balls are a pale wood, with the grain showing as fine rings, and a pair of slim tongs in a darker wood rests across the rim.
Solitaire is played by one person, so a board like this works as a gift, as a table game in a café or hotel lounge, or as something to pick up in a waiting room. The groove keeps the spare balls together on the board, and the tongs give small hands an easy way to lift a ball out of its cup.
Boards like this can be milled on our CNC machines from a drawing, so the cup layout, the diameter and the groove can follow any version of the game. You can choose the wood, the size and the number of cups, or add a name engraved on the rim. Game sets are usually ordered as a series, and the first board is made as a prototype for you to check.

Yes. The layout is drawn before anything is milled, so the number and spacing of the cups, the groove and the size of the board can follow your version of the game. You check the drawing in 3D on a private page first.
Can we order a single board as a gift?
Yes. There is no minimum order, so one board for a gift is made the same way as a series for a shop. For a series, one prototype comes first so you can check the cups, the balls and the tongs together.
